We are working on some new Tiger images for Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International plc, London.
10mm clear Perspex, mixed media. Spray paint and vinyl detail.
The final pieces will be 1200mm x 1200mm, and double sided with background colour sprayed on the reverse side and profile cut, black mat vinyl detail on the front.
Initial layout and designs were created using a pencil and paper, with the sketches scanned and then traced using Adobe Illustrator. Finally, vectorised silhouettes were then placed into the image for the extra detail and dimension. The reason for using illustrator is to create vector paths so a vinyl plotter can cut the graphics out of a roll of self adhesive vinyl. This is only made possible by using vector based graphics software.
