Embrace Campaign for Plymouth College of Art, Wall Wrap

Big Ups were over the moon to be given the opportunity once again to work with PCA and Templo on their new campaign and graphics rollout @ Plymouth College of Art.

It was a challenging install, we had a two week window to prepare, produce and install the graphics to coincide with the start of the new term. The weather gods were against us and it took a little longer to finish in the end but we’re really happy with the results

We used many different techniques on this part of the campaign. The black text was all achieved by cutting stencils and spray painting, the white text overlay was produced by cutting a Wall wrap vinyl and painstakingly heating it onto the wall so it conforms to the surface texture. The reason we did it all this way was because it had to have that hand painted feel but be spot on and representative of the design. We considered the options and just thought this was the way to go. The products we used are all top of the range material so they aren’t cheap but if things fall down then so does our reputation. We know what works and we stick to it!

PCA Graduation

Big Ups were asked to design and produce some way-finding signage for Plymouth College of Art’s 2017 Graduation Ceremony.  Using supplied digital files we produced freestanding, lightweight, folded Corex boards with a Matt Black background and white gloss profile cut detail. Looks pretty cool!

BigUps wishes all graduates the best of luck in the future!

Big Ups was commissioned to design the branding for a new convenience store company in Plymouth.

We created an eye-catching, unforgettable logo that will be used on the rollout, in stores throughout the city.

The sign was designed / manufactured and produced but the team at BigUps. We used white gloss ACP to create the background tray applying coloured vinyl detail and profile cut perspex on fixed locators to give the sign a high end finish.

Mama J’s Italian

We recently worked with Voice Group, a South-West based creative agency,  producing some beautiful branding for a new Italian restaurant in Looe, Cornwall called Mama J’s. We produced and installed a bespoke perspex wall installation, thanks again to Julia and Guy at Mama J’s for letting us get creative on that!  A large graphic wall upstairs really adds to the already bright and welcoming space. We also created a perspex bar graphic, bespoke wayfinding signage and added the finishing touches where it was needed.

If you’re in the area you must check them out, the food is delicious!

Call For Artists!!! Plymouth City Centre Company Art Project

This has been a long time in the making but we are finally getting somewhere in dragging Plymouth into the 21st century! Urban art, synonymous with Bristol, Brighton and London could be getting more exposure here!

We have managed to get hold of a massive hoarding in a central location. And we need YOUR help to inspire the fair people of Plymouth and bring some colour into a neglected part of town.
